Firefighters from Ramsey were called to Oswald Close at 11.21am and extinguished the fire by 11.50am. The cause of fire was deliberate. A fire service spokesperson said: Setting fire to wheelie bins can be extremely dangerous, especially when the bins are close to homes. A fire can easily spread to nearby buildings, putting lives at risk. While there is no excuse for arson, residents can help to deter potential arsonists by storing their bins securely. LAST night firefighters were sent to reports of a shed on fire in St Ives. The fire control room received multiple calls after a fire started in a shed in Lincoln Avenue at 7.53pm. Firefighters arrived to find the shed well alight and later said that the fire had affected two sheds and a house fascia. The cause of fire was accidental and firefighters were back on base by 8.37pm.
