Arsonists cause ‘significant damage’ in Ramsey attack

Arsonists caused “significant” damage to a building in Ramsey Mereside on Saturday.

Police and firefighters were called to Marriott’s Drove at about 9pm following reports that a building was ablaze.

PCSO Lee Hurley said: “In this offence, unknown offenders have forced entry to the rear of the property and have started a fire with numerous combustible items in one of the rooms causing significant internal damage to the property.”

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Cambridgeshire police on 101 quoting crime reference CF0505981116 or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
