Arsonists attacked a skate park in Yaxley causing more than £10,000 worth of damage.

The park, which is currently under construction in Middletons Road, was targeted between September 12 and Monday, September 15.

Arsonists cut a hole in a security fence and started several small fires which damaged the surface of the park.

PC Debs Hill, investigating, said: “This park is being constructed for young people in the area and will bring benefits for the whole community so it is appalling that someone has chosen to damage it in this way. I would appeal for anyone with any information to get in touch.”

INFORMATION: Anyone with information should contact PC Hill on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
