Arsonists set light to a stack of straw bales in Hemingford Grey.

A crew from Huntingdon was called to Goretree Road at 11pm on Wednesday (August 20), where they used hose reels to extinguish four large bales.

They then used thermal imaging cameras to check for hotspots, before returning to base by 12.10am.

A police spokesman said they are “keeping an open mind” about whether this incident is related to the attacks on thatched cottages in Huntingdonshire in the early hours of yesterday (Thursday).
