Officers were called to a branch of Tesco Express in Wertheim Way after reports that a masked raider entered the store wielding a knife. A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said that officers arrived at the scene shortly after 8pm. According to police, the masked raider, who threatened staff, opened the till with the knife and around £500 was stolen. Residents of Stukeley Meadows reported on Facebook seeing officers with guns and police dogs outside the shop. Roads leading in to Stukeley Meadows were reportedly blocked off for a few hours as police officers arrived at the scene. The police spokesman added that no arrests have yet to be made, adding: The suspect, who had his face covered, is thought to be about 510 and was last seen heading towards Stukeley Road. A spokesman for supermarket chain Tesco told The Hunts Post: This is now a police investigation and colleagues at the store will be assisting them with their investigation.
