Appeal for witnesses after spate of thefts from cars and vans in Sawtry

Police are linking a series of thefts from cars and vans which took place in Sawtry.

The incidents took place overnight between Wednesday and Thursday in Stanch Hill Road, Gloucester Road and Buckingham Way.

A spokesman for the force said: “Unknown offenders have forced or attempted to force their way into vans and private cars and have stolen tools and other personal items.

“A witness reports seeing three people behaving suspiciously in the area at the time however we are appealing for further witnesses to come forward.”
