Officers are appealing for information following a collision in Ramsey Road, St Ives on Saturday.
At around 8pm a white Citroen C1 mounted the pavement and hit a pedestrian opposite Slepe Hall Hotel, before driving away.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
