Hinchingbrookes lead chaplain, Rev Scott Watts said: This is a very special service which aims to provide a safe space to honour the memory of lost loved ones and friends. Those who have touched our lives are never forgotten and we mark this by lighting a candle to remember all of their unique qualities the things which made them special to us. We also release balloons at the end of the service - we know from experience that people find this a deeply moving, yet helpful step in their grieving journey. The service is on Sunday, February 19 at 2pm in the hospitals chapel. All are welcome regardless of religion, beliefs or how long ago the loss occurred. The hospitals chaplains, bereavement care service staff, critical care nurses and other colleagues will be there to offer support if required.
