The 50 year old man walked away from the incident at Peterborough Business Airfield with a cut to the hand. An ambulance crew were asked to attend and he was taken to Peterborough City Hospital for treatment. Airfield manager Gavin Forrest said: It was a very minor incident. The guy was unfortunate to cut his hand and he had to get it stitched up. He was a student pilot doing a bit of solo training, which is part of the requirement. He lost direction and control whilst on the ground, and just went off the edge of the runway into a stubble field. It is a rare occurrence.
