Two people were taken to hospital after a car collided with a wall in Huntingdon on Saturday afternoon.

The Magpas air ambulance flew to the scene in Surrey Road and its crew checked the occupants of the vehicle, who were in their 60s and 70s, before they were taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital by land ambulance.

A Magpas spokesman said: “I can confirm that at 3.32pm on Saturday afternoon the Magpas enhanced medical team arrived in Huntingdon via the Magpas Air Ambulance.

“They had been called to the scene of a single vehicle collision where a car had collided with a wall.”

The spokesman said: “The Magpas air ambulance doctor and paramedic team assisted on scene and provided two patients with a rapid assessment.

“Fortunately, the patients did not require any advanced medical care from the Magpas team and they were left in the care of an EEAST ambulance service paramedic crew.”
