The Magpas air ambulance was called at about 9am on Wednesday (September 20) to an area just south of the village following reports that a man had been seriously injured.A spokesman for Magpas said: The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient, in his 20s, who had sustained a serious leg injury. They administered advanced pain relief at the scene and accompanied him to Addenbrookes Hospital via land ambulance. The man was in a very serious but stable condition upon arrival. The East of England Ambulance Service and Cambridgeshire police were also called to the scene. A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: We were called to reports of an incident near Papworth Everard involving farming machinery. A double-staffed ambulance, ambulance officer and Magpas air ambulance attended the scene, treating one patient with serious injuries. The patient was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital, in Cambridge, for further care.
