A CRUCIAL road around Huntingdon was closed for a short period of time after oil was spotted at a scene of a crash.
The A141 between St Peter’s Road and Longstaff Way was shut off after the find at an incident at the junction with St Peter’s Road at 1.25pm.
A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said that the road was closed due to poor road conditions and that the A141 was reopened when recovery of the vehicles has finished and the Highways Agency put sand on the road.
There was oil on the road at a crash at Houghton Hill when a red Renault Laguna, travelling towards Huntingdon, left the A1123 and crashed into a tree at 12.50pm.
The police spokesman said that the road was partly closed due to the oil on the road.
