A man in his 60s was taken to hospital after a collision on the B1043 yesterday (September 22).
The incident between a silver Citroen Picasso and a Ford Focus happened at around 1.45pm on the stretch of road between Godmanchester and Offord Cluny. A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue said: “One vehicle had left the roadway landing on its side in a ditch.”
The East Anglian Air Ambulance was called to the incident and landed in a field next to the scene to treat the man, who was trapped in his car in a ditch, for arm and leg injuries.
A spokesman from the air ambulance said: “The crew provided advanced care at the scene and sedated the patient before escorting him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance.”
The spokesman added that the man remains in a “serious but stable condition”.
