Fire crews were called to a blaze in Ramsey as one of the latest in a series of field fires across the district.
Firefighters tacked a blaze on Wednesday in Middle Drove, Ramsey Heights.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said about 40 firefighters were called to the site at around 3.12pm, including crews from Stanground, Huntingdon, Dogsthorpe, St Ives, St Neots and Chatteris, along with water carriers from Ramsey and from the US Airforce base at Alconbury.
Crews arrived to find a fire involving around 40 acres of field, along with a vehicle and cylinders. They extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their stations by 10.22pm.
An investigation revealed the cause of the fire was accidental.
