An inquest has been held after a "beloved" mother from Cambridgeshire who "touched the lives of many" died unexpectedly at home.
Gemma Connor, 40, a mental health practitioner from Peterborough, died at her home on October 12, 2024.
A fundraising campaign for Gemma’s funeral costs raised more than £5,000.
The GoFundMe page reads: "Gemma helped so many people through her work and touched the lives of many personally too.
"She will be incredibly missed and we want to give her a lovely send off."
Gemma’s daughter Jasmine told the Nottingham Post her mother’s death was a complete shock and that she “lit up every room”.
The inquest into her death was formally concluded on September 3, at Vantage House in Huntingdon.
Area Coroner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Caroline Jones expressed "sincere apologies" to Gemma's family for the amount of time taken to conclude proceedings.
The inquest heard from Gemma's GP, Dr Deepali Prakash, that she had a history of health conditions including acute pancreatitis and fatty liver condition.
She had also been prescribed several medications.
The inquest heard from dieticians who Gemma had spoken to in early 2024, who said she was seeking advice on unintentional weight loss and nausea.
She was advised to aim for a high energy, high protein diet and avoid too much fat.
The inquest heard that on October 11, 2024, Gemma went to bed at her home in Peterborough at around 11.30pm.
About half an hour later, her partner woke to find her unresponsive and breathing shallowly before calling 999.
He was advised to begin CPR and the emergency services arrived soon after.
Paramedics used a defibrillator and attempted resuscitation but Gemma was in cardiac arrest and they could not revive her fully.
Her death was confirmed at around 2am on October 12, 2024.
The post-mortem detected prescribed medication, including morphine.
All the medication was within therapeutic levels except morphine, which was at a high, possibly toxic level.
But Coroner Jones said the level could not be confirmed as toxic because this often depends on an individual’s tolerance.
Gemma's cause of death was labelled as 1a respiratory failure due to morphine toxicity with contributing conditions of chronic pancreatitis and liver disease.
Coroner Caroline Jones said this was not the same as an overdose because Gemma’s health conditions may have changed how her body absorbed the medication.
In her closing statement, Ms Jones said: “I would like to extend my condolences to you all and Gemma's wider family and friends for your loss.”
