A rail operator has issued an update after a station was forced to close one of its platforms amid heavy rain.
Platform 1 at Knebworth Station remains closed this morning due to flood water caused by "heavy rainfall overnight".
Great Northern confirmed the subway connecting the subway to the station building had flooded and is "not suitable for passengers to use".
The operator apologised to customers who've been affected by the closure, adding a maintenance team would be visiting the station.
A spokesperson said: "Northbound services are still running from Platform 4 and, this morning, we have arranged for additional Thameslink services to call at Knebworth towards Stevenage.
"A maintenance team is en route and we hope to reopen the platform soon, once the water has been cleared.
"Until then, people travelling from Knebworth towards London should take a train to Stevenage and change onto a southbound train, and those travelling to Knebworth should change at Welwyn North. "
According to National Rail, disruption is expected until at least 11am.
