Hundreds of photographs have been woven together to create a vibrant community mosaic.
The mosaic was created in Alconbury Weald, celebrating the people, places and memories that define the growing Cambridgeshire development.
Created live during this summer’s Food Festival, the artwork was crafted by mosaic artist Allan Levy and features an image of Alconbury Weald’s Grade II listed Watch Office.
It is made up of photographs submitted by residents and festival visitors, along with paintings from pupils at Prestley Wood Academy.
Mr Levy said: "Community mosaics are always about people and the stories they share, and this project has been a wonderful example of that.
"Every photograph submitted captures a moment, a memory or a connection to Alconbury Weald.
"Individually they're personal snapshots, but together they've become something much bigger – a piece of art that reflects the character of this growing community."
Natalie Leigh-Brown, senior community development lead for Alconbury Weald, said the piece is a “lasting reminder” of the area’s sense of togetherness.
She said: "One of the things that makes Alconbury Weald so special is the strength of its community, and this mosaic captures that perfectly.
"The Food Festival brought people together to celebrate great food, support local businesses and spend time together, and this artwork is a lasting reminder of those connections.
"We hope residents enjoy taking a closer look and spotting the many individual photographs that together provide a snapshot of Alconbury Weald as it is today."
The completed mosaic will be on display at The Club in August during normal office hours.
It will also be showcased on Saturday, September 12, as part of the Heritage Open Day event.
This gives residents and visitors another chance to explore the hundreds of personal images that make up the artwork.
