A GP practice in St Ives has announced an open day focused on supporting older people and those living with frailty.
Grove Medical Practice will hold the event on Tuesday July 21, from 2pm to 5pm.
It will be open to all registered patients, as well as carers and supporters.
Dr Jo Pritchard, managing GP partner at the practice, said: "We are delighted to be offering an open afternoon to our patients on Tuesday 21 July 2026, between 2pm and 5pm."
"This year we are focusing on older patients and patients living with fraility.
"Frailty describes when indviduals no longer bounce back quickly from illness, injury or other stressful events and is a long-term state that makes people more vulnerable to sudden deteriorations in health from minor triggers like an infection.
"We have invited a number of organisations and local support groups from the community to attend with information and advice for patients including Citizens Advice, EDS UK, St Ives Dementia Friends and Alzheimers UK, P3, One Leisure, St Ives Cares, Huntingdonshire Volunteer Centre, Change Grove Live and many more."
Groups confirmed for the event include Citizens Advice, EDS UK, St Ives Dementia Friends, Alzheimers UK, and One Leisure.
Dr Jo Pritchard said: "Colleagues from the NHS will also be helping patients to sign up for the NHS App if they would like.
"Refreshments will be available and we look forward to welcoming everybody."
The practice, located on Cromwell Place, serves more than 15,000 patients and provides a diverse range of services and can also dispense medication to patients who live more than one mile from a pharmacy.
