Last night's episode of 24 Hours in Police Custody focused on the murder of Wisbech widower Una Crown, a case that Cambridgeshire Constabulary say has had a profound and lasting impact on her family, local communities and everyone involved in the investigation.
'The Cold Case Murder' explored the early stages of a complex and challenging enquiry, led by the force's officers with determination to secure justice and answers in the most difficult of circumstances.
The programme also showed how Judy and John Payne had a lovely bond with their auntie Una.
They would take her out food shopping every week without fail, where she would be waiting for them and waving at her window.
One weekend, however, their worst nightmare came true when they came to pick her up but she wasn't at the window and her curtains were still drawn.
They discovered she had been murdered in her own home, in Magazine Lane.
Her killer remained hidden in plain sight for more than a decade, and perhaps thought he had got away with it.
