A colourful paint run has helped raise funds for students’ end-of-year celebrations.
The 2km event took place at Longsands Sixth Form in St Neots, where students and staff dashed around the school’s playing fields while being showered in powdered paint.
The fundraiser was part of a campaign to support the Year 13 prom and a separate party for Year 12 students.
Daniel, a Year 13 student, said: "The paint run is a lot of fun.
"It’s a great opportunity for everyone to dress up and raise money for our end of year celebrations."
Participants donned a variety of costumes to boost donations, including a Teletubby, a chicken, superheroes, a prisoner, a banana, and colourful wigs.
Staff also joined in on the fundraising spirit, with the head of sixth form agreeing to dress up for the occasion.
The event has raised £800 so far, with donations still coming in.
Additional fundraising efforts have included a bake sale and a raffle held during Wear it Pink Day in support of Cancer Research.
Francis Bray, executive principal at Longsands Academy, said: "This was a fantastic afternoon organised by a group of very enterprising Sixth Form students.
"This is the fourth year of the paint run and I know the students really enjoy it.
"I am impressed by their organisation and drive to fully fund their end of year prom and Year 12 party."
Mr Bray said: "We are fully supportive of the efforts they have put in to raise money, whilst they are working hard towards their final exams.
"Their aspiration and drive are brilliant skills to take with them as they move onto the next stages of their lives, and we are all very proud of our Sixth Form students."
