The driver of a very abnormal load was reported by the police this week after serious issues were spotted.

Road policing officers stopped the load at Sawtry Weighbridge, where it was found to be over the legal width and exceeding the permitted overhang.

The driver was reported, issued with a fine, and had their movement order removed.

This means that the vehicle cannot go anywhere until the problem has been properly fixed.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "Our roads policing officers will continue to keep an eye out for illegal and unsafe loads like this as they put a risk to drivers and other road users."
