Several schools in Cambridgeshire are included in a new list of England's best state secondary schools.
SchoolGuide.co.uk has published its latest ranking of the nation's schools, using the most recent data from February 2026 for a number of categories.
Chesterton Community College, in Cambridge, made the list at 117th, thanks largely to its impressive GCSE results and "outstanding" Ofsted inspection.
Elsewhere in Cambridgeshire, The King's (The Cathedral School), in Peterborough, ranked at 132nd while Parkside Community College, in Cambridge, came in at 177th.
Both schools boast a robust set of GCSE results and exceptional Ofsted reports.
A number of independent schools across the county were also featured in the list.
These include The Leys, The Perse School, St Mary's School, all in Cambridge, and Abbey College, in Ramsey.
The website was launched with the aim of helping parent make "a hassle-free, informed choice for your secondary-aged child".
It crunches government and Ofsted data to produce its list of 200 of the best primary, secondary and independent schools in the country.
While GCSE and A-level results are a key part of the equation, the guide stresses that it uses "a range of data, not just exam results".
It argues that some league tables focus too narrowly on academic achievement and offers users the change to "view a complete performance picture".
