A Cambridgeshire-based housing developer has put forward plans for a brand new neighbourhood for a village, fit with hundreds of homes, allotments and more.
Endurance Estates has proposed to build 330 homes on land to the south of Sawtry, southwest of Green End Road and west of Sawtry Services.
The developer wants to deliver the "much-needed homes" to Sawtry, as well as woodland, park and green corridors, and new walking and cycling routes linking Toll Bar Way, Green End Road, St Judith's Lane, and the rest of Sawtry.
The homes, if approved, will be "carefully designed" and a mix of different types of housing to suit local needs.
Endurance Estates has said that the development has been planned at a "lower density" to ensure that residents that the new neighbourhood will not be crammed.
70 per cent of the development will be dedicated to open public space, including allotments for new residents to grow their own produce and create a healthy lifestyle, as well as children's play areas, green spaces to relax in, and woodland.

The new estate will be accessed via new junctions off Green End Road and Toll Bar Way, and there will be no access or new homes off St Judith's Lane, with access granted to pedestrians and cyclists instead.
Endurance Estates is currently hosting a consultation into their plans to gather views and opinions from nearby residents.
An online survey will close at midnight on January 30 - it is available on the Land South of Sawtry website.
There will also be a public exhibition on January 22, from 3pm until 7pm, at Sawtry Social Club on Gidding Road.
