Val Fendley, mayor of Ramsey, writes her Christmas message.

This Christmas I would like to send a message of gratitude and thanks to the Ramsey community.

2025 hasn’t been easy for lots of you, it’s been a year for resilience and really pulling together to help one another out.

That has been wonderful to see across a time that has been hard for so many, whether that be due to the cost of living, childcare places, health issues, family crisis or like me, bereavement.

The support of good neighbours, others within the area, and at community groups and organisations really does make a huge difference. I would like to thank the town council staff team and my fellow councillors for their hard work too, being in a position of leadership isn’t always easy but they step up willingly because Ramsey matters to them.

I wish each of them, and all of you a peaceful and relaxing Christmas, and look forward to us achieving even more in the new year. Best Wishes Cllr Val Fendley, Mayor of Ramsey
