The mayor of Huntingdon held a Halloween tea party to support local charities.
The first annual Mayor of Huntingdon's Halloween Afternoon Tea Party took place on Thursday, October 30 at the Huntingdon Neurotherapy Centre.
Local dignitaries from Chatteris, Godmanchester, and Huntingdon attended, raising funds for three chosen charities this year: the Huntingdon Neurotherapy Centre, Woodgreen, and the renovation of St Mary's Church.
The event was organised by Anna Dutton, the Huntingdon Neurotherapy Centre manager, with help from volunteers Viv Taylor, Christine Belringer, and Julie Green.
Katie Wilkinson, manager of the Barchester-Bayleaf Care Home, responded to a Facebook appeal for help, offering the services of her chef, Rakesh Thandamparabil Kunshapan.
More than 30 guests enjoyed treats provided by the Barchester-Bayleaf Care Home.
Guests were given a tour of the centre and its grounds, showcasing community resources funded by National Lottery Community Funding.
These include benches, water butts, a greenhouse, a potting shed, and a new path in need of volunteers for laying.
Wild about Huntingdon also donated bird boxes, a hedgehog house, and insect houses.
The highlight of the tour was the hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber, with many guests expressing surprise at its health benefits.
Chatteris deputy mayor Cllr Sharon Selman expressed her appreciation for the event, highlighting her interest in the hyperbaric chamber.
Godmanchester deputy mayor Cllr Karen Pauley also extended her thanks for the afternoon tea.
The mayor of Huntingdon, Cllr Audrey McAdam, thanked the organisers for their efforts.
The Huntingdon Neurotherapy Centre is open to the public on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 2.30pm.

The Halloween tea party marked the first of its kind and was attended by dignitaries from Chatteris, Godmanchester, and Huntingdon.
