A radio host has said he is "absolutely thrilled" to be a finalist for two awards at a national ceremony.
Ste Greenall, host of Black Cat Radio, which is based in St Neots, is a finalist for Volunteer of the Year and Entertainment Show of the Year, with the entry for his Full English Breakfast Show.
He has hosted his show since Black Cat Radio launched, back in 2017, and has only missed 103 days in his entire tenure.
On May 8, 2025, Ste presented his 2,000th weekday breakfast show.
He prides his show on having a "local feel that isn't just news stories", and fills his two hours on air with local musicians, interviews with community groups, and regularly chatting with the St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire MP, Ian Sollom.
Ste's entry included a five minute edit from his 2,000th show, which featured frivolity, fellow presenters, and former guests, all returning to celebrate with Ste.
On finding out he is a finalist for two awards, Ste said: "We're absolutely thrilled to be recognised on a national level.
"These nominations are are a testament to the hard work of our volunteers and the support of our amazing community."
The winners of the Community Radio Awards 2025 will be announced at a ceremony in Bradford on Saturday, October 25, following the Community Radio Network Conference.
Chair of the Awards, Rebecca Steers, said that being nominated is a "huge achievement" in itself.
"Black Cat Radio, its presenters and volunteers should be so proud of all that they for for their community, and for this nomination and the recognition for all of their hard work."
