Hundreds gathered in Hinchingbrooke Country Park on Saturday, August 23 for the 559th Huntingdon Parkrun, which saw 407 runners, joggers and walkers take to the picturesque course on Brampton Road.
Simon Mead of Huntingdonshire AC led the field, crossing the line first in a swift 17.05.
Keelan Duffy of BRJ Run and Tri was not far behind, finishing second with a time of 17.15.
Aaron Graves, representing Tiptree Road Runners, rounded out the top three with 17.17.
Among the women, Rosie Mead of Huntingdonshire AC was the fastest, finishing in 21.07.
Amelia Darnell, also of Huntingdonshire AC, followed close behind with a time of 21.17, and Shelley Uff, another clubmate, completed her run in 22.19.
The event was made possible by a dedicated group of volunteers: Alison Ainsworth, Stuart Ainsworth, Pamela Ayres, Scott Boswell, Gerald Brunning, Pauline Brunning, Charles Butcher, Alan Butler, Matthew Bycroft, Tracy Chabot, Wendy Currington, Brenda Davey, Elaine Dobson, Alice Edwards, Aaron Graves, Bruce Grimley, Stacey Gullis, Elaine Gunn, Madeleine Hann, Richie Harris, Richard Hart, Zoe Haverley, Katherine Ireson, Gay Jackson, David Jenkins, Nicola Juggins, Leonard Kirkby, Armoogum Ponnusami, Scott Rogers, Sam Saberton, Ben Sweet, Cameron Sweet, Jennifer Swinton, Jasmine Wassersleben, Marco Wassersleben, Simon Webb and Sue Yendley, who all gave their time to support the community event.
