Huntingdon was in looking its best on July 22 when judges from Anglia in Bloom visited to assess the town's 2025 entry.
The judging tour began at the Huntingdon Crematorium and Depot, continuing across the town, with judges admiring highlights such as the bespoke 3D floral display celebrating 200 years of the railways, the Hinchingbrooke Hospital Education Garden, the Huntingdon Community Centre, and the Coneygear Community Garden.
The visit showcased the efforts of a variety of local volunteers and community groups, including the Friends of Hinchingbrooke Country Park, Hinchingbrooke Hospital volunteers, and users of the Huntingdon Community Centre.
Groups from the Coneygear Centre, including the Seniors, Crafters, and Community Garden volunteers, also played their part.
Their efforts were consistently supported by the dedicated Huntingdon Town Council estate services team who ensure these spaces thrive all year round.
The town is hoping to make it a hat-trick, having proudly won Best Overall Entry in Anglia in Bloom for the past two years.

Results for the 2025 awards will be announced in September at Burgess Hall in St Ives.
Hayley Burns, a member of the Huntingdon in Bloom committee, said: "It’s always a huge privilege to show the judges how much work has gone into making Huntingdon bloom.
"This year’s entry reflects months of planning, planting and partnership — and we’re incredibly proud of what the whole town has achieved together."
Organisers would like to thank everyone who supported this year’s campaign, particularly the many volunteers who help maintain Huntingdon’s green spaces in every season, come rain or shine.
In Bloom activities take place throughout the year, and new volunteers are always welcome.
