An arrest has been made after a woman got out of a vehicle on a motorway last night, leaving the road closed for nearly three hours.
Cambridgeshire Police were called to the A1(M) northbound at Sawtry on Monday June 23, at around 5.45pm with reports of concern for a woman who had left a vehicle.
Officers went to the scene and the road was closed from 6.15pm until 9pm.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police confirmed that the woman was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with what is believed to be "minor injuries".
They also confirmed that a 29-year-old man from Reading, Berkshire, has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving in connection with the incident.
He remains in custody.
