A popular flower festival returns this summer to raise money for its village church.
Hemingford Abbots' Village Flower Festival will take place this summer, marking more than 60 years since it began.
The festival, which will take place over the weekend of June 28/29, from 11am to 5pm, raises money for the conservation and repair of St Margaret's Church.
The Grade I listed building, which dates back to the 1300s, is the oldest building in the village.
The event will see more than 20 private gardens open to the public, with the church decorated with floral arrangements.
There will also be a jazz concert on the Saturday evening, and festival evensong on Sunday, traditional Morris dancing, and a hog roast.
Electric river boat trips will be on offer, along with art exhibitions, and displays of historic cars, motorcycles, and vintage tractors.
A plant stall, arts and crafts market, and performances from live bands will be taking place, while some gardens will be serving teas with homemade cakes.
Proceeds from the festival will go towards the ongoing restoration and maintenance of the historic church.
