Amateur radio enthusiasts celebrated the National Mills on the Air event.
Members of the Huntingdonshire Amateur Radio Society (HARS) set up a special event radio station (SES) from Duloe Tower Mill in Eaton Socon, Cambridgeshire, using the callsign Golf Bravo Two Duloe Wind Mill (GB2DWM).
The annual event, organised by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) Mills section, allows enthusiasts to promote amateur radio while preserving local heritage.
Various types of mills participate, providing a chance for the public to visit and learn more about these historic sites.
The team set up on the Friday before the event, ready to open the station at 8:30am on the Saturday.
The HF bands were open, although with some fading, but the club made its first contact with M0XAL, Alan on 7.163MHz.

One member, M0SKT, David, made contact with PE1OAD/MM – Maritime Mobile 260 miles west of Ireland.
Sunday started later at 8:30am to accommodate the mill owners.
The first call of the day was with TM38REF, near Grenoble in Southeastern France, with a good signal report.
Across the weekend, the club operated mostly on the 7MHz band due to the heat affecting the higher bands.
A total of 150 calls were made, with countries including the UK, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, and Guernsey.
The club also logged 18 different mills, including three in the Netherlands.
The event was well-received, with the club already invited to return next year for the May 9 and 10 weekend.
The HARS club is open to new members interested in amateur radio.
