A much-loved radio show host is celebrating a major milestone after reaching his 2,000th broadcast.
Ste Greenall is the host of the Full English Breakfast Show (FEBS) on Black Cat Radio, in St Neots and has been volunteering on the airwaves since April 18, 2017.
In his role he has interviewed hundreds of people, played thousands of songs, and formed his own group called the "FEBS Family".
While Ste spends his mornings putting a smile on the faces of his FEBS Family, it was their turn to return the favour to Ste.
On May 8, Ste planned to celebrate 2,000 Full English Breakfast Shows with his listeners.
However, the FEBS Family had other plans.
Listeners Denise and Barry Cathrall, Tracy Ayling, Fiona Whitney and Jackie Fitzpatrick snuck into the Black Cat Radio studios to decorate it to celebrate Ste's achievement.
Gold banners were put up around the studio, as well as photos of Ste with the many guests he has spoken to over the years.
Special cupcakes were made for Ste from Yaz's, in Eaton Socon, as well as more sweet treats from Welch Bakes in St Neots.
In eight years Ste has only missed 103 days in his role, and is the first presenter on Black Cat Radio to hit the milestone.
He said: "How some of the people who sprang the surprise kept it a secret, I'll never know.
"I'd lined up some great audio, including reflections on VE Day from residents of Henbrook House Care Home, but lots of listeners had sent little messages which I also played on air.
"I was presented with a booklet full of photographs and we all went out for breakfast - a Full English Breakfast, of course.
"It's a privilege to do the show five days a week and I'd like to thank each and every listener for their support."
