We’re excited to launch a brilliant competition giving listeners the chance to win tickets to the spectacular Battle of the Proms Concert in July - an open-air evening of classical music, cavalry displays, fireworks, and flag-waving fun. Just tune in to listen out for details on how to enter.
Our Sunday, our Cool Classics show is proudly supporting the competition, featuring music from the composers you’ll hear live at the event - perfect for getting in the mood!
New presenters have recently joined the HCR104fm team, bringing fresh energy to our line-up. Whether you’re an early riser or a night owl, there’s something new to enjoy across the schedule!
Join presenter Paul Jackson every Friday morning on the Breakfast Show as he chats with Hunts Post reporter Oliver Murphy. They’ll be covering the latest local news and highlighting what’s happening in our community - so make sure you’re listening in!
With the warmer weather finally here, we’re also looking forward to getting out and about with our brand-new outside broadcasting equipment. You’ll be able to find us at local events throughout the spring and summer - come and say hello if you see us!
And excitingly, we’re launching a brand new Youth Show, created by young people, for young people. Open to anyone aged 16–21, the show will feature diverse content, personal stories, and discussions about the things that matter most to young people today. It will be produced and presented entirely by a young team, giving them real experience and a voice on air.
At the moment, participants are mostly from one Sixth Form, but we’re hoping to create a more diverse mix. If you're interested - or know someone who might be - get in touch with Melanie at melanie.green@hcrfm.co.uk. We’d love to hear from you.
