Cambridgeshire residents can pick The Library Presents shows

The Library Presents, which has been running since 2018, is inviting the public to choose the performers they want to see in the autumn 2025 season.

The programme, which has delivered more than 1,000 hours of entertainment and more than 500 events, is currently filling libraries across the county with music, theatre, dance, and creative workshops.

Up to May 2, residents can take part in the selection process, helping to decide which artists and performances will feature in the autumn line-up.

The initiative is part of a drive to ensure the programme reflects the interests of the community.

The Library Presents is supported by Arts Council England, which has invested £530,000 over three years to keep ticket prices affordable.

Standard ticket prices are heavily subsidised, with events costing between £2 and £8.50.

One grandparent shared their experience of seeing a family show that combined storytelling, carnival and aerial circus called Rainbow Butterfly.

They said: "The dancers were incredibly talented acrobats, they did a great job of talking to the audience and taking them on a journey."

The selection process coincides with the spring season of The Library Presents, which began on March 21 and will run until June 29.

More than 50 per cent of tickets had sold before the first performance took place.
