Residents in St Ives have been left with road safety worries after a car crash in the town last week.
On August 16, a car crashed into a set of bollards outside of a house on the corner of Ramsey Road and The Waits. This section of road is one that causes concern for nearby residents who have witnessed incidents of dangerous driving and other accidents there.
There is a 20mph speed limit in the area, however, one resident said that the enforcement is "lacking". They feel that "residents and visitors to St Ives are put at risk".
An incident happened nearly two years ago on the same stretch of road, where a car ended up crashing into the river in The Waits, and it had to be taken out via a crane.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "We were called at about 12.45pm on 16 August with a report of a vehicle coming off the road and colliding with bollards. No injuries were reported. The police were not required to attend the scene."
