A social club for retired professionals recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.
The event for Probus Club of Huntingdon and St Ives was held at Slepe Hall Hotel on August 6.
More than 60 members and guests joined the gala lunch, entertained by St Neots-based harpist Felicity Meakins during both the pre-lunch reception and the lunch itself.
Afterwards, club president Sir Richard Barnett delivered a celebratory address, followed by a performance from musician David Caulfield, who played songs from the sixties.
Probus clubs, initiated in England during the mid-sixties, now have more than 4,000 branches across the globe.

They offer camaraderie to retired and semi-retired personnel from diverse professional backgrounds such as business, farming, IT, education, music, police, the services, and science.
The Huntingdon and St Ives club, though predominantly from the two main towns, draws membership from surrounding villages too.
On the first Tuesday of every month, club meetings happen at Slepe Hall Hotel, typically followed by a talk.
Open to new membership, interested individuals can contact club secretary, Alex Alexander for further details.
