Huntingdonshire District Council has allocated £350,000 to support the growth of rural businesses.
The £350,000 will be used to provide financial assistance to new and existing rural businesses to help develop new products and services that will benefit the wider local economy.
The allocation of funding will be prioritised to businesses, including farms, to help expand sustainable rural tourism offers as well.
Huntingdonshire District Council will fund 50 per cent of the capital value for projects costing up to £150,000.
The minimum award will be £5,000, based on a project value of £10,000.
The maximum award will be £75,000, based on a project value of £150,000.

The £350k funding has come from a grant from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, following an award from the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
The council are expecting a high demand for the scheme, so companies who would like to apply are encouraged to speak to the Rural Grants team about eligibility and support on how to complete a successful application.
