The ninth annual Easter Family Fun Day at Eaton Socon Cricket Club proved to be a "spectacular" event - despite fears about the bank holiday weather.

Th event was held at the club, near Peppercorn Lane in Eaton Socon, and included, stalls, children's entertainment and food and drink.

A percentage of the day's takings on the day were donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

A spokesperson for the club said: "We would like to say a special 'thank you' to Premier Plus Ltd, Nestle and all the other local businesses who donated tombola prizes.

"Also, all the stall-holders who attended as the event would not be possible without this support.

"Everyone at Eaton Socon Cricket Club would like to thank all those who attended and made the day such a success. Not just those who assisted, but to all the individuals behind the scenes."

Due to the continued popularity of the event, the club has now decided to organise a Fun Day in May.

This will take place on the bank holiday on Monday, May 27 and will include bouncy castles, stalls, food and drink and much more.
