Drug dealer who crashed into police car caught sleeping in garden
Just this month, a drug dealer who crashed into a police car was caught asleep on the job after being found taking a nap in the front garden of a nearby house.
Mohammed Mehtab, 21, was driving a black Volkswagen Tiguan along Garton End Road, in Dogsthorpe, Peterborough, at about 1.20am on Sunday, July 24, 2022, when he realised the police car was behind him.
Officers searched Mehtab’s car and found more than 210 wraps of crack cocaine, more than 40 wraps of heroin, about £540 of cash and a debit card.
Thieves give themselves a haircut after breaking into Wisbech charity shop
In 2015, thieves broke into a charity shop overnight and made a mug of coffee before sitting at the manager’s desk and giving themselves a haircut.
The manager of the British Heart Foundation shop was shocked when she discovered a pile of brown hair cuttings at the foot of her chair.
Her desk scissors were left covered in hair strands in the bizarre break-in at the Wisbech charity shop where they took two jars of coffee and three tins of baked beans from the office kitchen but left the bread.
Sticky-fingered shoplifter caught in Cadbury’s Crème Egg spree
Daniel Cowlbeck, 34, was caught on CCTV stealing more than £80 worth of Cadbury Crème Eggs in a Co-op, in Oundle Road, Peterborough, on March 2.
He had put an entire box into his coat and another box into a carrier bag, along with other chocolate products.
Two days later he returned to the store with another man and stole £60 worth of washing detergent.
Man jailed after dealing drugs from underpants
Kashton Henry, 19, was caught on CCTV dealing drugs from his underpants in Cambridge city centre.
CCTV operators alerted police after spotting Kashton Henry handing items from his underwear to members of the public in exchange for money in Market Street on December 18.
Police located the 19-year-old and retrieved a rucksack that he had hidden in a nearby shop and seized 36 wraps of cannabis, six wraps of crystal MDMA and a knife.
