A driver who reportedly narrowly missed a group of around 20 cadets on a march has been charged with drink driving.
Police say the incident happened at The Hurdles, Brampton, at about 5pm on Saturday (March 23).
The Rural Crime Action Team said officers stopped the vehicle and the driver failed a roadside breath test.
The driver’s reading was 109 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath – over three times the legal drink drive limit of 35 micrograms.
There were no injuries reported.
Timothy Sledge, 59, of Ward Grove, Longhedge, Wiltshire, was later charged with drink driving.
He will appear at Cambridge Magistrates' Court on April 18.
It is not known where the cadets were based.
