A live rifle grenade was found by a member of the public in the river of London Road in St Ives.

Cambridgeshire Police officers were called to London Road after the grenade, which is around 100-years-old, was discovered by a member of the public who was magnet fishing.

Explosive Ordnance Disposal came out to the scene and moved the device to RAF Wyton, where a controlled explosion was carried out.
