This week in Spotlight on Volunteers, we take a look at the excellent work done by the volunteers at Magpas Air Ambulance.

Who are Magpas?

The Magpas Air Ambulance have a team of lifesaving medics who operate 24/7 from the charity's airbase and headquarters in Alconbury Weald.

The fundraising team at Magpas also work to support the medics who save lives and keep families together everyday.

Volunteering at Magpas

A spokesperson for Magpas said: "Magpas Air Ambulance can only continue to save lives thanks to the support and time given by those in the community."

2023 was Magpas' busiest year on record, with medics providing a record-number of lifesaving treatments and care for patients.

With that in mind, the charity need as many volunteers as they can get.

"Now is the perfect time to join the charity as a volunteer", say Magpas, to help them rise to the demand for their service.

The charity asks: "Could you volunteer for this vital, local charity and help keep the Magpas Air Ambulance helicopter flying, the rapid response vehicles on the road, and allow their doctors and critical care paramedics to continue to be there for patients who need them most?"
