The St Neots Initiative will hold its Annual General Meeting in May and current chair Alex Hughes has announced he will be stepping down after two years of service.

The AGM will be held on May 14 at the Citizen Hub, Market Square, St Neots, commencing at 5.30.

Current chair Alex Hughes confirmed his intention to stand down at the AGM at a recent management meeting.

Alex will remain involved in a supportive role as a trustee, to support in any roles that are seen beneficial for whoever takes on the role.

Alex said: “This past year has been one of the toughest of my career to date, although I am extremely proud of the achievements and the foundations laid for the next era of SNI, I have so much to reflect on for my own personal growth and how I can be as useful as possible to this next stage."

The announcement means the SNI will elect a new chair and in line with the group's constitution, it is also required to elect a vice chair, secretary, treasurer and voting members.

The SNI says: "If you are passionate about St Neots and wish to add to its positive future, SNI are welcoming applications for the posts, which are held on a voluntary basis."
