Cambridgeshire Police have welcomed 19 new officers to the force following a graduation ceremony at the police's HQ in Hinchingbrooke, Huntingdon.

The 19 recruits recently passed Cambridgeshire Police's Accelerated Detective Programme.

Some of the 19 new officers at Cambridgeshire Police include a diving instructor, a waitress and an assistant psychologist.

A graduation ceremony took place at the Cambridgeshire Police HQ at Hinchingbrooke Park in Huntingdon.

The graduates were paraded at the HQ in front of their families and friends to celebrate passing the programme.

The 19 officers were welcomed by Chief Constable Nick Dean and Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner John Peach.

Following their graduation, the new Cambridgeshire Police officers will now have a short period on patrol before being posted to crime investigation departments across the county.

Cambridgeshire Police are not currently recruiting for police officers. 

In the sprint, a new two-year entry route is due to launch, called the Police Constable Entry Programme.
