A special award was given to Jackie Eldridge, from St Neots.

She was awarded one of the three 'Golden Sheaf' awards presented at the ceremony.

Jackie achieved the award for her continuous service as an employee in the Girlguiding county office.

A spokesperson for Girlguiding Cambridgeshire West said: "Jackie has worked for the county for over 23 years and has always provided the best possible service to our volunteers, often taking on extra work so the volunteers don't need to.

"Most recently she has helped us reduce our overheads as a county as we all strive towards lower running costs to help keep the county afloat."

There are over 1,800 members at Girlguiding Cambridgeshire West, who range in age from 5 years old to women in their 30s.

The Girlguides rely on the work of volunteers to keep the charity running.
