A Huntingdonshire woman who took up ice skating last year was "thrilled" to use them on Portholme Meadow.
Laura De Stefano said: "After the recent floods and cold spell, my husband and I went to see if conditions were reasonable for fen skating.
"Last year we both 'skated' in wellies. But last year I took up ice skating and bought my own pair of skates.
"So I was thrilled to be able to use them on Portholme at the first opportunity.
"It would have been better a day if we went earlier than we managed, but it was still a joy nonetheless."
