Cambridgeshire Police officers were called to Huntingdon High Street following reports of criminal damage to charity shop windows.

Officers arrived at Huntingdon High Street at around 10:30pm on January 23.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police stated that "at least three (High Street shops) were targeted."

All three shops were charity shops. They were Sense, Woodgreen and the British Heart Foundation.

A spokesperson for the British Heart Foundation store said that it was "so upsetting" for the staff at the shop, and that "to do this to a charity shop is awful".

Likewise for staff at Woodgreen, it was a "shock and an upset", a spokesperson for the store confirmed.

Staff had "quite a surprise" when they arrived at work to see the shop window smashed.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said:

"A 34-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

"She remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station at this time."
