If I'm ever asked, 'if you could only eat at one place forever, where would it be?' The restaurant that always comes to mind is Sushi & Salad in Ely.

Every time I visit, it never disappoints, I have been going since it first opened in 2021 and I am always blown away by the great food.

The food is always freshly made and tastes amazing, I love every single bite I take.

The menu has a great selection, I always have a couple of the same sushi rolls, usually- The Crunch or Spicy Crunch, Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll & Spider Roll, these are all a good size and great to share.

The Crunch is an all-time favourite of mine as I love the crispy onions on top! In addition to my usuals, I love to try new bits each time such as gyozas, Hirata buns and baby octopus. The baby octopus is quite pricey for the portion size, but it is tasty.

If you prefer not to share, they have bigger dishes, I have tried the Ramen & Katsu Curry in the past – both were incredible!

Do be prepared to wait for the bigger dishes though, the Sushi comes out relatively quickly, but you do have to wait longer for the larger dishes which can be a bit awkward if everyone else has Sushi and you don’t get your meal until everyone else has finished.

The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully with a great Japanese theme throughout, it is a small restaurant so booking is recommended.

I have had a takeaway from there before and the food is just as good enjoyed at home, but you do need to ring up early to pre-order it.

This is an excellent place for a special occasion, I usually spend around £35 and that is for a good selection of Sushi and sides shared- the quality of food is certainly worth the price. I can’t wait to go again!
