Christmas stories told in a cosy igloo, crafts for children and comforting winter food were on offer at a St Neots school’s recent festive fayre.

Priory Park Infant School certainly managed to create a Chistmassy atmosphere at the event, which was organised by the Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

The annual fayre was also a chance for parents and friends of the school to buy Christmas gifts, with 15 small businesses selling a wide range of handmade items.

“We love to celebrate local businesses in the town and the fayre provided the perfect opportunity to combine a festive shopping opportunity with a really fun event to kick off the festive season.

“We’re really grateful for all the volunteers, teachers, and local companies who helped make the night such a success with all money raised going to the PTA so we can fund activities for children at the infants school and playgroup.”

They could create Christmas biscuits, make tree decorations, pick their own bag of ‘reindeer’ food and even choose a Christmas tattoo.

One of the big successes was the ‘Elfridges’ shop, where children could pick out a present for a family member, wrap it up, and write a label, helped by the ‘elves’ in the shop.

Other local businesses also got involved in their own way.
