This year's Huntingdon Christmas market and lights switch-on was "bigger and better than ever".

As well as local traders selling their goods, there was a wide range of entertainment.

Sarah Jane Gaule, communications officer at Huntingdon Town Council, said: "The town council worked hard all year round to make this year's Christmas market bigger and better than ever before.

"We focused on making the event more accessible for all, with quiet hours on the Saturday and Sunday, a wider range of local traders, and fantastic entertainment from local community groups including school choirs, dance schools and music groups.

"We were supported in our Elf Workshop by Happy Mama at the Family hub, based in Brampton, and Santa was well looked after by the Rotary Club of Huntingdon Cromwell.

"Thanks to our other sponsors, Huntingdon First, Tesco Community Space and our friends at HCR FM and Star Radio for keeping us entertained throughout the weekend.

"We're now making plans for next year, so please get in touch via our social media pages, or email town.council@huntingdontown.gov.uk for more information or to feedback on this year's event."
